mini dvi to svideo questions

hello i have a whitebook sr 2.2ghz and i just got a mini dvi to svideo and my tv is 60hz but when i set it to 60hz its just a scrabbled image. so if you there is a trick to fix this or if the unit is damaged let me know.because i have searched google and cant find anything. thank you in advanced

What output resolution are you going for? IIRC, S-video will only support upto 480 lines of vertical resolution (640x480 for instance)

that is what its set to and still scrabbled.could it be the adapter or the tv. because i know my svideo port works on tv.

took unit back to bestbuy and got another one and works like a champ first plugin.
