hi,

i just purchased the intel iMac 20" and at the same time bought the mini DVI to VGA adapter hpoing to link the iMac to my current 19" tft as an extended display.

My question is, how do you do this?

The adapter has mini DVI connector on one end and a VGA (female) on the other end.. and the cable length is only about 5 cm's long!!! nowhere near long enough to reach my monitor (need at least 10-15cm)

plus, i just noticed that the VGA (female) end of the adapter won't attach to my 19" VGA port, as that's also got a female entry!!

Am I missing something here?

Did i get the wrong cable?? This is the cable here

your help is greatly appreciated on this one as i'm pretty confused as to what to do

thanks

What you bought is only the adapter, you still need to buy a normal VGA cable.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..

I SEEEEEEEEEEE

Would that be VGA or SVGA? or doesn't it matter?

Could you confirm it's MALE TO MALE right?

Thanks :)
