Mini DVI to VGA possible by Mini DVI to DVI to VGA?

I obtained a Mini DVI to DVI dongle for my PowerBook, but what I would like to ask is, can I attach a DVI to VGA converter on that or do I need to hunt down a Mini DVI to VGA dongle instead?

No that won't work you will need a separate mini DVi to VGA adapter, unless the adapter has analogue.
