mini-dvi to VGA/S-Video for iBook AND MacBook??

My dad is looking to pick up an Apple Mini-DVI to VGA or S-Video cable for his 14" G4 iBook.

I have a BlackBook.

Can we use the same cable? And if so, would buying one branded as "for ibook" work on the macbook and vice versa?

P.S. How would I then get audio to my TV?

The iBook used mini-VGA, the MacBook mini-DVI. They are not compatible. Sorry.
