Hello, I have a older version of the MacBook (the one that was out pre-2009), and I wanted to be able to display my MacBook on my TV. I already had a way to do sound, so I bought a mini-DVI to Video Cable and (I don't know the correct terminology here) a dual sided S-Video cable. My TV that I use is a Toshiba (non-HD) that comes with a HD converter in it. I can hook everything up perfect (I think), but when I turn the input to the correct input, all that I see is fast flashing in black, white, and gray, along with static. I then pulled up my system preferences and messed around with the display options, to no avail. On some settings (most commonly the settings that are at 60 or 120 hz, no matter the size) I can make out my screen, but there are many of them, and they are going up and down on my TV screen. I don't know what I can do to solve this; can anyone help? Thank you in advance!
