I have noticed that my wifi on this is dropping pretty regularly ... like a couple times and hour it seems for about 5 secs or so each time.

Anyone else have this issue or know how I can track it down to see what is going on?

Hmmmm....
Could you "point the way" as to where in the OS it gives one the option to do this..?

This needs to be done outside of MacOS. In my case I needed to do it in my cable modem. Once done, two WiFi networks will be available for selection (via system preferences or menu bar icon if enabled).

I have noticed similar behavior. I suspect that my problem is related to my temporary use of a metal-top table as a desk. This places the WiFi antenna of the mini very close to the large RF-reflecting plane of the table top. I have had success by standing the mini on its edge. However, I haven't experimented with this long enough to be certain that I have found the problem. I am also using the mini in a condo building in which I can "see" very many WiFi networks, so I could be experiencing interference.

I set this up -2.4 and 5ghz, through Airport Utility for my Airport Extreme. Older devices on 2.4 and newer on 5 network.

I had a similar problem when I had a mini. The issue was USB3.0 external hard drive. Then I read somewhere, can't remember where now, that some external hard drives interfere with wifi.
