Mini Icon in iTunes: Colored

In iTunes 4.7 no matter what iPod mini you had, it would show up with the silver icon in the playlist/disk list.

Now, in iTunes 4.8, my pink mini shows up as... PINK. Still not on the desktop though.

In my 4.7, as on my desktop, my mini came up in the correct colour - green.

Whilst we're on the topic, I at one time changed my iPod (regular 40GB) icon on the desktop. Any idea on how to revert to the system iPod icon?

Hmmm.. I think I may have to test this myself. A good excuse to get another iPod if I've ever heard one!

You can find them in the ipod updaters. Just open the package (ctrl-click and "show package contents" then go to contents>resources>updates to see every icon for every ipod - lovely!

Try clicking on the iPod icon on the desktop, and get info (cmd-i). Then click the icon in the get info window, it should get sort of a blue outline. Now choose cut from the Edit menu.

think that makes it revert to the standard "drive" icon!?
If they changed it already, i think they would know this method? I thought they just needed the original icon!?

EDIT: yes, you just get the white "drive" icon.
You will have to drag the .icns files i talked about before into Pixadex or summit if you want to apply them to the ipod, dang, this is getting complicated!
