I was just testing some sound between different speakers and at one point during switching, my tv/sound bar were on as well as the HomePod mini. Is this a feature? I was kinda surprised. The audio was all in sync but just added the mini as “another speaker” basically. I was just kinda surprised. Sorry if this is a well know feature haha.

AirPlay 2. As long as a speaker supports it, you can have many playing together at the same time. If you have an older and/or economical speaker/amp/receiver system that doesn’t support it, you can hook them up to an AirPort Express or AppleTV and get them all working together.
