Hello all need to ask a question about the Mini Stack. I'm going to be ordering my first Imac soon and I want to get this Hub for the time machine backup. There is two types of 1TB models one is with a 16mb cache and the other is for a 32mb cache. Is the 32mb cache that much faster? They also have a miniStack v2.5 version that has USB 2.0 and firewire 400 only and it's allot cheaper but not sure on the speed for the Time Machine backup would be slow with that one. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank's
Chet

Even USB 2.0 is plenty fast enough for Time Machine. If you're working off an external drive, say music or movie files, then you might want something faster.

I've been using a USB 2.0 dock with a removable SATA drive with Time Machine and it runs just fine.
