Mini to Macbook Pro?

Hi guys,

I am thinking of replacing my Mac mini (in sig) with a 2017 Kaby lake MacBook Pro. Will I see a decent upgraded in performance mainly for Adobe after effects/mocha. I need some portablity now but also use my Samsung 34" UW monitor. Are the Radeon 5xx graphics a big bump up from HD4000?

I have to be honest I love my Mac mini i7 with an SSD and 16g of ram

Lol love mine too which is why I haven't sold it yet!! But would go if the MBP came along.

I do have a similar Mac Mini and still love that thing!

As for the upgrade - the GPU will be significantly faster, as is the SSD. The CPU, on the other hand, is "only" around 45% faster, which is not too bad. However, it's almost twice as fast as the current Mac Mini, if that makes you feel better.

Your Mac Mini is already maxed out to the gills. In all honesty you probably won't notice much difference, unless you're working on a photo/video editing program that uses GPU acceleration, or playing a game. That 560 is a lot faster than the antiquated Hd4000, which was terribly slow to begin with.
