iPad mini Mini wifi strength

I have a iPad 1st gen, iPhone, mac air and my mini. I find the wifi signal strength on the mini to show only the first bar, but all other devices show 100%!
I have it in a snugg case but this doesn't seem to have an effect. Anyone else seeing the same issue?

Try resetting your network settings, I've heard that fixes some wifi issues

I'm at a b&n store and usually get two bars max. I had some trouble with the wifi dropping out on the Mini yesterday but it seems fine today. I didn't try downloading anything yet today but web browsing is a snap!

Same problem and fix

I had the same problem. Wifi signal at one bar and normal I would have full strength. I reset my network settings and it fixed the problem.
