I need to connect two rooms (in two directions) with video.

The operation will be mainly a camera directly to dedicated display (in both directions, meaning one camera in one room, one in another and vice-versa for displays, so two cables.

I'd also like to be able to output video directly to display in one room from my mac.

Can the miniDP cable be used with adapters on both sides like this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DisplayP...826579?hash=item3d45ba0f53:g:~oUAAOSwepZXTSjf

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Dis...396116?hash=item3af1c61e54:g:WeQAAOSwG-1Zwhyw

so it just passes signal and operates without a mac?

so i get dp (or hdmi) INPUT on one side, and OUTPUT on the other side, but when and if i need to display directly to monitor i can just connect the miniDP to mac?
