miniDV - firewire port repair

How much it cost?
Where's the local place I can drive in LA area?


I need to fix 2 of them.

I might fried or short circuited them.

One is Sony ( can't remember model number)

The other is Panasonic GS-120.

Can I purchase DV parts and repair myself?

I doubt you want to try and fix these yourself.

Contact the manufacturers and ask them where you can send these for repair.

As a note, ask them for an estimate on the cost for repair. If it's too high you may just consider replacing the camcorders outright.

Like seniorstinky said, call Sony and Panasonic to get names of authorized repair centers in your area (of course it may be a repair that can only be done at the factory). As for how much it costs? I'd be surprised if it was less than $200.
