I am looking at a case for the upcoming 12PM. I am looking for a case that has some grip and also cut outs for buttons. I would also like for the case to not protrude higher than the screen so that I can swipe easily. The 2 cases I am looking at would mostly just provide scratch protection. I am looking at the caudabe veil and the pitaka air. I am leaning towards the veil right now because I think it will afford the same protection as the pitaka, but at half the price. The sheath also looks interesting but may be a little bulkier than I am looking for. But, it has buttons. The only reason I am pro button holes is because I have just used the apple clear case and it’s buttons are hard to push. Any thoughts or other options that might be better suited for my situation? TIA

Do the sides of the Peel case extend above the screen (face down protection) or do they come just up to the screen?

My Peel for my 12P has not arrived yet, but speaking from previous models, the Peel cases can be described as form fitting. No front lip for screen protection. There is a lip around the camera on the rear. You can't really get much smaller than Peel cases. You definitely don't buy them for any kind of protection beyond scratches. But I love the clear ones because it's like you've got no case on at all.

I tried a pitaka for the X. Great case, but the no lip on the screen side is a deal breaker for me.

This is the case for my 11 PM, from Peel.

Update to my post now that I have the Peel. It's the clear 'hard' case (versus their clear 'soft' case. I think the soft is TPU and a little thicker.) Sadly, my iPhone is my only camera so I can't get any photos at the moment. Using on my Graphite 12P. Couldn't get any thinner and love it. Buttons are flush with cutout, to give you a sense of how thin it is. It _does_ have a slight lip on the front that will give a small amount of screen protection. I use a screen protector which negates that a bit since the screen is now 'higher'. Usual lip around the camera area. So far, loving it.

have u tried to remove your iphone from the case? im wondering how difficult that is. does it cover the buttons or are they open. I have the apple clear case and like it except the buttons are way too stiff. and i understand im in for some struggles when i get a replacement to take it off.

With these kinds of cases you don't want to remove them often. The plastic is obviously thin and will stretch. If you want to regularly remove your case, don't get these ultra slim kind. There are cutouts for the buttons. I gave the Apple clear case one try and that was enough for me (did not like it at all).

yeah, i don’t plan to remove my phone from it but in case i do have to, say i get something new, i hate struggling to take it off. or feel like im going to screw up my iphone by removing it. im guessing the peel clear soft case will be easier to install and remove. any tips for removing the apple clear case?

Oh you definitely won't damage the phone trying to get this off IMO. A chance the case will not be quite the same after being removed, but it's a big upside to these cases that they are thin and pliable and shouldn't impact the phone when removing it.

Do you have any difficulty pressing the side buttons given that the buttons are flush with the cutout?
