Minimalist wallet eludes me still

I've been trying to get to a minimalist wallet case ever since my first smartphone many years ago. No luck. My minimum still involves some cash bills, 5 cards including health care card and driver's license, receipts, and a couple of business cards, because that's what the world demands. I guess I'm stuck in the transition purgatory years before an all-digital everywhere future, or some kind of future that only requires a single card plus the smartphone. Others having the same?
