Coming from a 10 year old Samsung tablet that still gets 70-80 days of idle time per charge, and on a 10 year old battery to boot, I'm kinda disappointed in my new iPad 11.

I don't use my tablet very often (which is why I'm only upgrading now), but with the iPad 11 I have to go out of my way to charge it at least once a week otherwise it'll be out of juice or close to it when I actually want to use it. With the Samsung this was never an issue - I'd charge it every time I was done using it, and the battery would stay charged until the next time I needed it.

I'm contemplating returning it and getting another Samsung as they seem to be a better fit for my usage, but before I do I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask: is there any way to optimize the iPad so that it uses minimal power while idling?

I have tried everything (disabling all background apps, location, find my etc) and nothing has really work other that putting it in full airplane mode with wifi disabled, but that's annoying because the device is no longer ready to be used when you pick it up
unfortauntely Android tablets are way better in terms of stand-by drain
