What's the minimum thinness you can go with but still have the camera not stick out? 0.3mm? 0.4?

Looks like 0.8 to 1mm in order to be safe.

I will say, though, that I have a Spigen Air Skin case that is 0.4mm. The camera still protrudes, but it doesn't really wobble on a flat surface. I also don't really worry about it scratching, because it's sapphire, so it would take diamonds to scratch the lens.

there is a ROCK 0.8mm case that will keep the camera lens off the table. they also have a 0.6mm version that does not, so make sure you are looking at the right one.

This is interesting because I reached out to switcheasy support regarding the nude case for iphone 6 which is apparently 0.6mm thick

And I was told the following:
Hello,
yes, the NUDE does give protection for the camera lens.
Thank you for your support and patience so I could make it sure!

I'm hoping someone on the forums who has purchased this case will share once they receive it but I believe they just started shipping recently.

I think it might still stick out slightly. When you're talking a difference of 0.9 mm or something, it might visually LOOK like it's not, to the guy who responded, but if the specs are correct, it probably does.
