I just came across this - the MiniPartner:

http://www.macway.com/presse/minipartner/minipartner_details_US.html

It's an external FireWire hard drive made by MacWay and has been specifically designed to complement the Mac mini - so the design, materials and dimensions are the same and it comes with extra short firewire and usb cables to minimise mess :)

If I had a Mac mini I'd buy one!

I thought we'd have seen alot more of this type of add-on for the mini. I posted in a thread some time ago about almost exactly this sort of thing where you'd add unit as required. Next perhaps elgato will come out with a TV tuner/PVR add-on in the same format, or someone else with a additional DL-DVD-RW drive and so on, and so on...

Just a few days ago there was a LaCie drive posted, It looked a little nicer, but probably costs more.

I'm glad to see the peripheral market really latch on to the mini. It's a great piece of hardware, and it's unique styling is lending to some great designs!
