I got a macbook pro 2012 I believe that has a cracked screen. Rather than replace the screen which I am sure will be expensive, I found that I can hook the macbook up to my monitor. Right now I am using DVI for my monitor on my PC and was trying to find the best option to use miniport to VGA and was hoping someone can recommend something?

I am out of work and paying $20 for a cable versus $300+ to fix a display is worth it in my opinion

Thanks

Apple makes an adapter that is $35. Kanex has a similar adapter for $25 (or $15-20 discounted), and Amazon has a janky one for $16, but it works.

P.S. You aren't sure it has a cracked screen?

No it's cracked. Not sure why I put that I am pretty sure...LOL
