I have a raid card that has 2 - 4 port miniSAS4i connectors on it (8 drives all internal, I max use the minisas4i to 4 sata connectors and use max upgrades 2 drives in optical bay 2 for a total of 6 internal disks, If I could get esata out the back, I could use a external dvd-rw and then fill the first optical bay with 2 more drives for all 8 that the card can use on the inside, so Im hunting down options.) I already purchased the maxupgrades connector that will allow me to connect on of the internal ports to the 4 internal drive bays. I was hoping someone, somewhere knows where I can get a back plate adapter that can fill one of the unused PCIe slots on the machine and provide a connector that say is male to male, plugs into the card on one side, and then into the junction on the inside of the back plane adapter now giving me a female minisas on the rear of the mac pro? I believe I have seen them, I just cant find them with my lame search attempts, just not the correct boolean search yet I guess. Also with the two extra sata ports on the board, has anyone found a back plane adapter that connects to these internal sata ports turning them to external eSata ports? I have some large external disk arrays, one with minisas4 and the other with a multiplexed esata that I would love to connect. This is my first mac pro (I dont even have it yet) but I'm getting ready ahead of time.
