Mirror Display got turned off automatically on my iPad Pro M1 12.9”

Hi, althrough I turned Mirror Display ON and pressed Set under Display & Brightness, very often I have to do it again and again as it got turned off automatically. Is this a bug? Same for 16.2 and 16.3.
