Mirror not working on iMac

Hello, ever since I have downloaded 10.10.2, I havent been able to Airplay. I know for sure it isn’t a problem from my Apple Tv because I tried Airplaying to multiple Apple TV in my home and it didn’t work on all of them. Also I have tried from my Macbook Air (which is also on 10.10.2) and it works perfectly…

So what happens is that after I click the Airplay logo and click the apple TV i want to connect to and that the Apple TV is selected, it only shows me a black screen on my TV. I noticed that under the option “Use Airplay Display to” the check marks stays selected on “Extend Desktop” and when I click on “Mirror iMac” option, THE CHECK MARK STAYS ON “EXTEND DESKTOP”…

Also it is important to note that sound Airplays out of the TV….when I watch a video on youtube for example, the TV stays black but the I can still hear the sound of the video on the TV.

A few things to try:

• Repair permissions: http://macs.about.com/od/applications/ss/firstaid_3.htm. Reboot.
• Reset PRAM: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063.
• If none of the above fixes the issue, open your account Library folder, drag the Caches folder to the trash and reboot.
