Mirroring to FTP

My friend and I are starting to collaborate on some IOS development. We would like to try to find a utility to allow us to sync a local folder to a private ftp folder on our web server. I have checked into transmit, and it runs very very well manually but we would like for the folder to be monitored and mirrored automatically. Is there any app out there that will do this well?

Sounds like you should be using version control eg GIT or Mercurial

I think we found our solution. I think my friend is going to set up a subversion server at his house and do a ftp backup of it to our webspace, and we will connect to it using Versions. Any thoughts?

Good enough but you might prefer GIT if there is more than two of you.
