mismatched wep keys after Airport Extreme

I have just set up my quality Airport Extreme wireless system that works so well. The problem is my wifes Laptop. Trying to set up wep security and the mac set up asks for 13 digits the laptop will only let me input 10.So no connection to the laptop.All is fine with no security involved.
Any ideas.

Sorry if its been asked before but I couldnt find what I was looking for .

Sorted managed to get some WPA settings on.

Good. WPA is much better than WEP anyway.

FYI the problem was that you had two different bit-rates of encryption selected. That was your problem most likely.
