After quitting Safari, my date and time on my menu bar got screwed up and stopped showing. A blank space was there, but no date and time. I went to date & time in system preferences and found that "show date and time in menu bar" was disabled. I enabled it, and the date & time shoved itself inbetween the language and battery icons like this, with the blank space still there.

I'm using 10.6.8 on a mid-2010 vanilla MacBook.

You can drag it back by pressing Command and dragging it over. Also try restarting your machine. That should fix most problems as well.

I asked MrKeeks IRL this morning and he told me to restart it. I did so right before I saw your post, but thanks anyway! :)
