I feel like it would have been pretty neat if the new Apple TV 4K came with wireless charging capabilities for the remote.

I mean giving the remote QI wireless charging so it could work with things like airpower instead of using the lighting cable.
The remote is already extremely expensive - This would likely increase the price even more, and for technology which would be used twice a year at most.

I hardly use the remote. Usually use my Logitech Harmony to control it.

What I don't get is why there is no real iCloud backup incl. local data of the apps. All they introduced is a backup of your home screen. A list of installed apps and the position of the icons, incl. folders, is stored, but not the data of the apps it seems ?

I use the remote every day and have to charge it maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Waste of time and money to worry about how It charges. And like others have said, the Apple TV sits behind my tv. Not a good wireless charging pad, would be different if it could one day charge anything in the same room though...
