Hi,

My internal space was full, so I moved my Photos library onto an external drive. Photos is working perfectly, but I noticed the internal drive was still full. The Pictures folder, despite not having the photos library still showed ~800gb full... for a while. I tried deleting the Pictures folder, but it wouldn't allow me to. It then showed the pictures folder was 4kb, but the internal storage hasn't increased.

I've used GrandPerspective which I've attached below and as you can see there's 803gb of misc used space. I can't fine it anywhere in the folders.

Can I fix this, or do I need to wipe everything and start again?

Thanks!

For those that might stumble across this in future, I did a clone of the drive to an external SSD, which only took the 200gb used, checked it worked by booting to it, then wiped the original SSD, cloned it back to the original internal and booted back to that. Touch wood it seems to be working fine and shows the full 863gb unused.
