I downloaded two applications on my MacBook Pro. Neither of them were added to the applications stack, so i used spotlight to find one and drag it into the applications folder.

However, the second application, Windows Live Messenger, has disappeared. It was definately installed because I spoke to people on it last night but now it isn't in the applications stack and spotlight can find no trace of it whatsoever. Where the heck is it?

Thanks.

In my downloads folder, there's messenger8beta.dmg, which says "the following disk images could not be opened" and "operation timed out."
