Missing Downloads/Documents

Hi, messing around with macbook now have removed downloads and documents from the dock. Can't find them. Not even listed in finder. Help please. thank you.

Those two folders are both located in your User folder.

In Finder:
Finder > Go > Home will take you there. Try there first. Otherwise, are they in the Trash?

Thanks found both folders but can't drag them to the dock? They just go to the desktop. thanks,

I haven't tried this, but once they're on the desktop, open one. When it's opened I guess the icon for it would show up in the Dock. Does it? If so, right-click on it and select Keep In Dock.
Hope this helps. If not I am out of ideas.

They'll (folders or files in general) only be able to be placed on certain parts of the dock, namely near the trash can, on that side of the divider.
