Wasn't there supposed to be a Battery Percentage option for the battery icon on the top right?

If there is one in 3.0, how do you activate it?

3G S only...

I don't understand why this would be a "feature" you would be upset over / missing. It simply tells you your %. Look at the battery and you can figure that much out yourself. When your battery gets low enough, it gives you a couple messages.

The real question is why is it on 3G S and not on the previous phones? What Apple doesn't have enough reasons already for people to upgrade?

do people live under rocks
but people don't live on this forum
Not everybody roams the forums 24/7. :D

If the question has already been answered, try and post a link to it.
It doesn't matter, it doesn't take long to read the FRONT page of this website once in a while to read the keynote notes. You don't have to roam these forums all day and night to know that...Please try to find the answer to your question before posting

Was the battery percentage thing for 3G S owners every mentioned on the front page? I don't remember it, but even if it was, it's not on there now.

I'm not saying that it's not annoying to see the same questions asked 20 times a day... trust me. I'm just saying that it also gets annoying when people just post "search" or "google it". That's not really helpful. If you know the answer or you know where the answer can be found, it's nice if you post a link.

The other option would be to not post a comment at all and let someone else answer it who hasn't seen it mention 20 times.

Ummmm, I have a 3G, and I have the battery percentage on my phone, and I'm using the official release of 3.0.
