Fairly often I get mail that displays messy - the font is jagged and choppy... I have traced the last few to be HTML display of the Courier New font - is it possible that this font could have gotten corrupted on my system. I have a fairly new MBP with minimal apps installed.

In troubleshooting this, i found the apple-[ and apple-] commands to switch to alternate views- which displays the plain text view nicely. But I am hoping for a longer term fix - install the font if possible, or somehow tell it to use a set font when it doesn't have the font?

Thanks!
