Missing Game Center argghhhh

Has anyone hit an issue Clash Royale and IOS 10 with the lack of game centre now

I have the game on my iPad and upgraded from IOS 9 to IOS 10....no problem and still have my account linked to game

Now I bought a new iPhone 7 with IOS 10, did a full restore from backup and my account isn't linked

I can't now use game centre to link my account please IOS 10 doesn't include it. I have read all the posts and FAQ on Clash Royale support site and they refer to game centre to link accounts....But you can't

Has anyone else found this issue and found a fix ?

You can sign into Game Centre via the Settings app.
