Alright I lost a HD....In an effort to manage storage I recently performed a HD swap. The machine (G4 tower) had two HDs (call them HD1 and HD2), both 40GB (7200rpm). I was reaching max. capacity on both so I swapped one out with an older 80GB (5400rpm) drive(HD3) that was clean installed with OSX. I loaded files from HD1 into HD3, then set HD3 as the start up disc, pulled HD1 and installed HD2. I did the required jumper switching, making HD3 master but I couldn't get the machine to boot (flashing broken folders and such). After a few tries with slave master switches, I replaced HD1 and HD2 as the machine was originally set up, HD1 is master and HD2 is cable select. The machine started up fine, but I do not see HD2 on the desk top (or anywhere).

Jumper settings?
And why did the HD3 and HD2 set up not work?
