Some of my custom icons in the finder sidebar have been replaced by a generic icon (dog-eared white paper icon), sometimes they come back when you click on them.

anyone have this problem?

Which Mac OS X version are you running?

Have you installed any third-party software to change the appearance of Mac OS?

Can you post a screenshot via CMD+SHIFT+4?

I am running 10.6.1, I didn't install any 3rd party software to change the look of OSX, i have attached a screenshot

Have you tried repairing permissions via Disk Utility?

It might help restore the icons, as they seem to be confused which file they should read in order to be displayed correctly.

com.apple.finder.plist corrupt?

Did you try replacing it with a fresh one?

OR

Did you try a different User Account?

I am having the same issue. Seemed to happen after the Snow Leopard upgrade. I've tried repairing permissions, deleting DS Store files, and trashing the finder preference file. No joy.

And what if you turn them all off, and then back on again - Finder Preferences has a Sidebar tab (from memory).
