Missing Lock Function

Hi!
Today I did a clean install on my Mac since I upgraded the HDD.
Now I cannot find a function that I had before.
I had on the top of my screen (next to the battery status) a small lock symbol that allowed me to password lock the screen whenever I wanted.
Does anyone know where that option is? I just cant find it anymore...

that can be set up via keychain preferences
(applications->utilities->keychain access.app)
preferences->show status in menu bar
