Missing Mac HD icon and home folder?

Hi

I have noticed I do not see my Mac Hard Drive icon on left handside of finder, nor do I see my home folder on left handside of finder anymore, since downloading Lion OS. Is this normal? Also before in finder when I clicked in the differnt windows it used to say at the bottom of the relevant window box that was open, how much GIG space I have used. I don't see this either anymore. can somene confirm if this is how its meant to be now?

All those are still there. They are just disabled by default. Go in to finder and then go View -> Show Status Bar in order to see how much space you have. If you want to see your main HD in the sidebar then go to Finder -> Preferences -> Sidebar and make sure that Hard disks is ticked. Mine had a dash in it which meant that they are generally shown except some have been hidden (Macintosh HD).
