Missing menu thumbnails - ATV2

I accidentally installed a main menu weather app onto my ATV2 via nitoTV Install Software option. I have since removed this but when on the ATV home screen I no longer get any movie covers, YT videos displaying above the menu listings like I did before. Any idea what has happened and how to fix?

I have discovered a new menu titled Custom Settings, I re-enabled the top shelf from here.
