Hi,

Since a couple of months, I noticed that sometimes when I get a message notification on my iPhone, that notification does not go to the Apple Watch, at all. It seems kinda random, it's not happening on every notification.
It's only happening with the messages notifications, every other app on the iPhone is mirroring notifications with the Apple Watch perfectly (yes, the Watch is set to mirror the phone notifications).
It happens even when I'm close to the phone, and when I am not actively using any of my other devices (iPad or MacBook). So, a problem with connectivity or the fact that I'm getting those messages notifications on another device are likely not the answer to the problem.

There is a recent thread on the Apple forums that seem to describe the exact same problem that I'm experiencing: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251281650

It was happening with iOS 13 and watchOS 6, and sadly it's still happening with iOS 14 and watchOS 7.
My devices are iPhone8+ and Apple Wacth 4 (non-cellular).

Has anyone here experienced the same issue and found a solution?

Thanks.

I’m having a similar issue. For me the notifications don’t show up on my apple watch (series 3) when I’m using my Ipad. The icon shows up but the there is no sound or haptic. This seems to be only while I’m using the iPad. It really annoys my wife because she’ll text me (non apple user) and I won’t see the notifications.
