Okay, so I setup a folder of RSS feeds in Google Reader, and imported the feed URL for the folder into Mail so I wouldn't have to visit Google Reader all the time.

This seems to work okay, however sometimes when I view the Google Reader URL in a different RSS reader (e.g - FireFox) I see messages that haven't arrived in Mail. In particular the messages seem to belong to a couple of feeds in the folder, while others remain unaffected.

Basically my setup is like so:

Google Reader:
  • MyFeeds (folder)
    • Feed A
    • Feed B
    • Feed C
    • Feed D

Within Google Reader I got the feed URL for the MyFeeds folder (in the folder's options drop-down menu choose view details and statistics to get the feed URL for everything in the folder), and added the feed to Mail so that I only have to modify my Google Reader folder to add/remove feeds that I want to receive update notifications for.

This works fine, but only some of the feed's messages arrive in Mail, which I don't understand. For example, feed C might not appear in Mail at all, even though I know that a new messages has been published to it and I force Mail to update the messages for "MyFeeds".

Is there any way to debug the feed that Mail is receiving to see if there's anything wrong, such as a malformed message or something?

On a related note; if I wanted to change the feed URL for Mail without losing any previously received messages from the previous URL, how would I do it? I know that the feed URL is stored under ~/Library/Mail/V2/RSS/*.mbox/Info.plist, but is it stored anywhere else that might cause Mail to continue using the older URL?
