Missing Network Icon from Finder

Why won't my Network Icon show on the finder's left side menu as it used to? Now I need to go to Connect to server and it still will not connect to any networks?? I'm am however connected to the internet wirelessly .
Confused...maybe I unclicked something on the System preferences?
I'm using Airport to connect to the internet and to the wireless network.

Maybe try re-selecting it in the Sidebar pane of Finder's Preferences (Finder menu).
