I recently accidentally erased all data on my drive. I was installing Ubuntu on a partition, and the trackpad was very sensitive in boot mode, I (fortunately ?) shut down the mac less than a second after it started erasing everything.
When I turn my mac on i see a "missing operating system" message.
I only have a couple of files I need to recover, how can I get thm back ?

I tried target disk mode, and got a "disk cannot be read" mesage

If you want to get your mac bootable with OSX, you'll need to boot up with your system disk and see if you can repair it (unlikely) and if that fails, recreate the partition logical drives.
