I have been using a Palm Tungsten E with an older iMac (10.3.9) using Palm Desktop and HotSync for several years. Now I have a new iMac and want to continue using my Tungsten with the third party programs I have installed on it. Can I simply download Missing Sync to my new iMac and sync my Tungsten to it without loosing my third party apps and other data? (According to Missing Sync's web site, the latest Missing Sync for Palm OS is compatible with Snow Leopard and with the Tungsten E.) I copied my entire Palm folder over to the new iMac from the old one, but when I open up Palm Desktop on the new machine it shows no data (i.e. addresses, calendar, etc.) All that data is still safe on the old machine, thankfully. The copied folder appears to still have all the files that the original folder has (such as in the Add Ons folder, etc.) So the question is: what will happen to my existing data on the Palm if I use Missing Sync to sync the it with the new iMac, and will my third party applications be preserved on the Palm and synced to the iMac?
