Missing volume clicks?

You know, the little popping sound you hear when you adjust the volume using your keyboard. Yeah, those. They're gone.
Any ideas?

Is the "Play feedback when volume changed" checkbox selected (System Preferences -> Sound -> Sound Effects)?

That was it. I wasn't sure if anyone else was having the same problem. It just quit working after I updated to 10.6.1
