I've got a problem where no matter what I do I have one broken desktop in my grand central. It will not display a background and cannot be closed or moved by entering the view of all active desktops. I've tried erasing my HD, reinstalling OSX and restoring a backup of my account but the problem still exists. Its really annoying and cannot think of a fix. I attached a screenshot of the issue. Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe try moving com.apple.desktop.plist to your Desktop and then logging out and back in. To reach the .plist file, choose Go to Folder in the Finder Go menu and enter ~/Library/Preferences.
