Mission Control driving me crazy

Just upgraded to Lion so I can use the Configurator. I was a pretty devoted Spaces user, and so far Mission Control has just been irritating. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

I assigned each of my apps to a different desktop, and somehow they still end up in other desktops, or pieces do. Am I doing something to screw it up?

Wish I could go back.

Go to System Preferences -> Mission Control and uncheck the box "Automatically rearrange spaces based on most recent use". If you use Dashboard you may also want to uncheck "Show Dashboard as a Space".
