I'll be at Square One, but not that early. I think I'll sleep in and come in around 11am-noon.

Hi, playtillyadrop! I recognize your name from iPadinCanada.

Yup I visit that site quite frequently. I've decided I'll probably be there for 9am.

How long are the lines usually at Square One for new releases? And anyone know what the supply is usually like? As in, did anyone ever go home empty handed?

A friend and I are considering driving up there from London, should be there around 2:00.

I was there last year for the iPhone 4 launch. Line got huge, but they also had stock to last until Sunday. And I would think something like the iPhone would generate more lines than the iPad (just a guess though).

I think it was 4-5am and they opened at 8am. Line moved horribly though as most people were activating the phone on plans or upgrading and the systems for the carriers were extremely slow.

I really don't know how to gauge this one though, especially for 5pm launch.

The good part about this is that the iPad doesn't need to be processed like iPhone 4... in terms of upgrades, etc. The line will move a lot faster I think. iPhone 4 was just terrible, especially with Rogers servers going down.
Not sure what time though for 5pm launch. 11? 12? I think there will be a line quite early on though :\

That's very encouraging, thanks! I guess I'll stick to my plan, order one online (just in case) and then head to Mississauga on Friday.

I am planning on going around 1:00 after my Morning service call if the line is to long I will just live with my Ipad 1 for a few weeks untill the demand drops and I can just walk in and pick up a new one
