Hey,
So I stopped by the Apple store today and had my iPhone 4 replaced since it was acting up. I had backed up right before I went to the store. When I connected it to iTunes I mistakingly continued with the "set-up as new phone" option (I was in a hurry to catch a flight, stupid, I know).
Doing this did the following:
- Seemingly erased my old backups
- Deleted all my contacts off my laptop - must've replaced my laptop contacts from my phone, which was empty.
I won't have access to my Time Machine backup disk for another 2 weeks. Is there anyway I can get my info back in the mean time?
If it matters, the phone they gave me has the old iOS software and I haven't had the chance to update it yet (4hs to go for the download).
Thank you!
EDIT: Just noticed that I luckily had an iCloud back-up on the 28th. So I'll be losing a few days worth of texts but I got the majority of my stuff back. It's kind of annoying that iTunes automatically deleted the other back ups though, what if I had bought a 2nd iPhone?
