MIUI was a great option back in the Gingerbread days. Not sure I would consider going there now, though. Prefer the stock Android experience than the faux-iPhone experience of MIUI.

MIUI is closed sourced. It will come to the Nexus 4 and others, but if your phone doesn't have a good team of developers, the builds will not be very usable. A lot of people tend to give up on it because people would rather stock, CM, and AOKP builds.

This is well done skeumorphism. I'd argue that they just did an iOS aesthetic better than Apple.

I actually prefer MIUI over stock because of its nicer white backgrounds compared to that black crap thrown all around in AOSP.
