Hi there. Just purchased my nice 27" badboy which should arrive in Nov.

I currently have 8gb spare ram with the following specs:

CAPACITY 8GB (2x4 GB 2Rx8 PC3-8500S-7-10-F1)
STANDARD PC3-8500
MEMORY SPEED 1066MHz (DDR3-1066)
CAS LATENCY CL8
ERROR CHECKING Non-ECC
REGISTERED Unbuffered
VOLTAGE 1.5V
FORM FACTOR 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM memory modules
CONFIGURATION Double-sided 4GB DDR3 SO-DIMM modules
FEATURES Dual channel kit, matched 4GB modules

Any idea if this will work ok? I noticed the timing is different (CAS cl8 as opposed to Apple cl7).

Is that a big deal? Reckon it'll work as a pair on it's own in the iMac or would I be able to mix it with the stock Apple 2 x 2GB that will be in the iMac when it arrives?

Thoughts?

Thanks

Just realised the voltage is slightly different as well (1.5v as opposed to 1.8v).... is this an issue as well?

I don't have a problem if the stock ram in the iMac operates at this rams slightly lower speed.....
