Hey guys.

I am making a playlist on iTunes for a party i have coming up and i know there is a way to mix songs, i just do not know how to do it?

By mixing songs, i mean, mixing in the last 5 seconds of a song into the first 5 seconds of the next song.

Seeing as though this party will not have a DJ, i want it to still sound as though the playlist is flowing so that there are no quiet pauses.

Any help is appreciated.

You can use Crossfader..

iTunes > Preferences > Playback > Crossfade Songs

I have already come across that before and it does not work.
I am not really sure why?

I have checked the songs but it still does not work?

The problem I have with crossfader is that a song may be be listed with a play time of 4:25,but in reality it may be 4:30,as there is still data that isn't actually music. It something that you just have to live with. Pauses are inevitable. I wouldn't worry about it,as the party gets rolling no one will notice.

Here is where I have my crossfade set,and it seems to mix the songs together pretty well. But as I said there will a certain amount of dead-air.
